Student Learning Outcomes

Students who complete a certificate for Direct Care Workers - Specialty Skills in Elder Care should be able to:

  1. Explain the bio-psychosocial disease process of addiction and critically compare it to the moral model of addiction.
  2. Describe the roles and responsibilities of the members of the rehabilitation team.
  3. Discuss mental health issues problems associated with an aging society.
  4. To analyze and describe the healthcare organization and operation.

Grades of C or higher must be earned in each certificate course.
